South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2033
The publicity period on our South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2033 is now live and the documents can be viewed on our website. Hard copies of the Local Plan, supporting documents and comment forms are also available at the locations listed at the end of this email.
This publicity period is more formal than the previous four consultations, as the Planning Inspectorate dictates the specific questions we must ask relating to the soundness and legality of the plan. While you are free to comment in any way you choose, to ensure you have the greatest influence at this stage it is advisable to relate comments to the soundness and legality of the plan. We have prepared a guidance note and video clip to help explain the process in more detail.
How to comment The consultation period has been extended to 5pm on Thursday 30 November 2017. This is to provide people with the opportunity to consider the Local Plan policies map and the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA). The SHELAA provides a technical assessment of the suitability, availability and achievability of land for development. It is an update to the Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (HELAA), which was published in March 2017. The updated document is available to view online.
