Parish Council Zoom meeting
Parish Council meetings normally take place on the fourth Monday of the month, except for August and December. The usual meeting place is the scout hut opposite Orwells, on Shiplake Row, but this has been closed for repairs following a fire since last year. Once lockdown for corona virus was in place a committee of four councillors held only one virtual meeting to discuss urgent matters, in April.
Update Notes
The Committee has been convened three times during the pandemic, with only a short, urgent agenda, in May, August and November. Big projects such as the potential Neighbourhood Plan are on hold until we are able to gauge levels of support and involvement across the parish.
The playground and recreation ground are open, with cautionary advice to residents, following government advice on parks and open spaces. Please respect social distancing at all times, use hand gel regularly and wash hands on returning home.
We would like to ask anyone who sees signs of small groups who may be drug-using (probably smoking) anywhere around the village to report it to the police on 101 and to us. Suspicious nearby vehicle numbers can be noted.
The Parish Council thanks everyone for standing together and looking out for one another during the covid-19 crisis.
Residents are encouraged to keep an eye on the parish website www.binfieldheath.org.uk for further information about the Council and about matters concerning the pandemic and emerging issues or anything else that arises.
We wish all parishioners well.
